Just Joe is an author and advocate who transformed his experience with the criminal justice system into a mission to support others in their journey toward rehabilitation. As a once registered individual himself, he brings firsthand understanding to the challenges of rebuilding life after conviction.

His book, "What Now, A Guide to Those Shackled to the Registry," serves as a comprehensive resource for those navigating registry requirements while working to establish stable, productive lives. Drawing from his personal journey with mental health challenges and recovery, Joe provides practical guidance for others facing similar circumstances.

Beyond his writing, Joe has contributed significantly to legislative reform. As part of a defense team our team successfully appealed the requirement and not only had it overturned but created new case law. This experience in policy reform adds depth to his understanding of the legal framework surrounding registry requirements.  With the requirement to register and felony removed, I was given a gift I did not want.  A calling, to help my men, the social lepers of our time.

Joe currently serves as a resource for individuals seeking guidance on registry compliance and recovery support. Through his work with SOAR (Sex Offenders for Accountability and Recovery), he continues to develop programs and materials that support responsible reintegration while maintaining the highest standards of accountability.

His approach emphasizes the importance of personal responsibility while addressing the practical challenges of rebuilding life after conviction. Joe's work focuses on helping others develop effective coping strategies and establish stable support systems while maintaining full compliance with legal obligations.
